Our Terms and Conditons
The terms and conditions will form a contract between the “Customer” and Matt Price Driver Training, known as the “Company”.
- The Customer must hold a valid driving licence before any training commences. This includes Full Category B for any form of towing courses and Provisional Category C, C1, or C1E for any LGV/HGV courses. For any courses involving tests, EU Licences must be exchanged beforehand for a UK licence.
- The customers are responsible for ensuring they have the correct LGV provisional entitlement when commencing an LGV course with the Company. Failure to produce the correct provisional entitlement will result in the course being cancelled and all course fees being forfeited.
- Pass Protection gives the Customer two more hours of training and another re-test (Module 3a reversing test or Module 3b on-road test), should it be required.
- Pass Protection must be purchased when booking and cannot be added to an existing course.
- Pass Protection should not be used to replace a longer training course. If this is suspected, Pass Protection will be cancelled, and all course fees will be forfeited.
- In the event it is not used, Pass Protection is non-refundable.
- The Customer must legally bring their licence to all training sessions and tests.
- If the Customer does not have their licence with them at all times, the training and/or test cannot proceed, and no refund will be given in these circumstances.
- Part of the cost includes a fully insured training vehicle for use in training and tests where applicable.
- Any vehicle or trailer supplied meets all requirements for the test as set out by the DVSA (Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency).
- Should the Customer wish to use their own vehicle and/or trailer, etc, there will be no change to the course cost or tests. It should also be noted that the candidate’s vehicle insurance will usually cover only the trailer third-party cover. Therefore, any damage caused to the supplied trailer is solely the candidate’s responsibility, and they are liable for any costs incurred.
- Training will start and finish at the pre-agreed location.
If the candidate is running late, they should contact Matt Price Driver Training at the earliest opportunity. - If, in the unlikely event, the trainer is running late, they will try to contact the candidate to give an estimated time of arrival.
- Course prices, lesson costs, and test fees will remain as quoted and will not increase.
- All course fees must be paid in full before the commencement of any training unless other arrangements have previously been agreed upon with Matt Price Driver Training.
- Any course cancellation made by the Customer must be made in writing to Matt Price Driver Training.
- Customers have the right to a 14-day ‘Cooling Off’ period after a course has been purchased whereby the Customer has the right to cancel and receive a refund (minus any non-refundable costs associated with the course booking). However, this right is forfeited if the course booked commences or is completed within the 14-day cooling-off period &/or the course booked commences within days of the customer notifying Matt Price Driver Training in writing of a cancellation.
- Any course cancellation made by the Customer 15 or more days after the course purchase date will incur a 50% administration charge of the total tuition fees, excluding any applicable test fees. All costs associated with any element of training completed before the cancellation request will be forfeited.
- Any course cancellation/amendment (including illness or injury of any kind) made by the customer less than 14 days before the commencement of any practical training element will result in all course fees, including test fees, being forfeited. If the cancellation is due to illness or injury, a Customer should reclaim the cost of any test fees from the DVSA (Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency) directly.
- Any course cancellation/amendment (including illness or injury of any kind) made by the customer less than five days before the commencement of any medical appointment or theory test booking will result in all test fees being forfeited. If the cancellation is due to illness or injury, the Customer should reclaim the cost of any test fees from the DVSA (Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency) directly.
- Matt Price Driver Training reserves the right to terminate any training booked by the Customer if course fees are not paid in full before the course start date.
- Any variations to the joining instructions, course date, time of attendance, etc., will be made in writing by the Company to the Customer. The Company will make all efforts to keep the original agreed course confirmation, however, in the event of a course cancellation imposed by the Company, the Customer will be offered the next available course.

- Customers must be aware that adequate provision is made to ensure that drivers attending courses can comply with the rest of the requirements laid down in the Driver Hours Regulations and the Working Time Directive.
- The candidate must take full responsibility for revising any pre-training material and practice the relevant sections where possible.
- Should the trainer, in their professional opinion, feel the candidate has not reached a sufficient standard of competence to take the test and to take full responsibility for the safety of the training vehicle and other road users whilst on the test, the Company reserves the right to refuse the use of the training vehicle for the test and no refund will be given.
